Writers Studio's left rail is manuscript navigation — your chapters, search, and tools. Setting up a new project (or changing project settings) lives behind one button, "Start Project," which opens a guided window instead of stacking forms in the sidebar.
BellerCreatives runs two distinct suites, not one generic writing product. Nonfiction Suite and Fiction Suite each have their own workflow checks, style profile, and toolset, so the project type list only ever shows the options that belong to the suite you've chosen:
Memoir, biography, history, investigative, narrative journalism, true crime, illustrated cookbook, business, thought leadership, self-help, how-to, academic-to-general, science/medical, policy, essays, travel, general/trade nonfiction, proposal, and workbook.
Fiction, romance, fantasy, romantasy, science fiction, mystery, thriller/suspense, horror, historical fiction, literary fiction, YA, young adult, middle grade, children's/picture book, crime/detective, women's fiction, contemporary/commercial, and speculative/paranormal/urban fantasy.
Cookbook manuscripts don't fit the chapter-and-prose editor — they need a recipe, photo, and layout model of their own. Selecting Illustrated Cookbook as the project type in Start Project routes you straight into the dedicated Cookbook workspace, carrying your current project along with it, rather than dropping cookbook content into an ordinary chapter template.
Everything about navigating the manuscript you're already writing stays exactly where it was:
Tap Chapters in the bottom bar to open the rail, then Start Project for a full-screen guided setup. The mobile bar stays out of the way while that window is open.
